Runarai wandered about King's Cross, pushing a large cart of luggage in front of him, all purchased. He didn't know much about where he was supposed to go. Only that it was a platform with the number 9 3/4 and it was going to be leaving... soon. His Northern Hawk Owl, affectionately named Sam for whatever reason, hooted loudly as the cart went over a bump. He was somewhere in between Platform 9 1/2 and 10, but there was no 9 3/4. It... was annoying, to say the least. With his wings strapped tight to his back, it was annoying to push all this weight. He was, in the most important meaning of the word, lost.

I started to run at the wall and jumped through, but I soon toppled over my stuff. "Crap, and it was starting to be a good day" I mumbled as I stood back up, dusting off my gray sleaves. I quickly picked the trolley up and tried to find a familar face. I tried to keep a calm face as panic started to grab my throat. I swear if I have to sit next to Cho agian I'll go insane. I stopped by the Hogwarts Express as I looked to see some of the parents. God, isn't there any where I can go with people knowing?

He heard the crash, and the large clatter of luggage hitting the floor. He turned sharply, smoke gray hair whipping about a bit, and pulled his own trolley to a complete stop. 'What the hell was she doing? Did she hit that column?' He thought to himself. Immediately afterward, he noticed that some of her luggage was... similar to his own. He figured she was going to Hogwarts as well, though she looked much older. So either she accidentally ran into the column... or it would be a good idea to watch her a bit.

"Bloody hell, every day" I muttered rubbing the forming bruise on my knee. I held to the trolley looking for the luggae man. When I heard some rustling behind me I turned to see a strange boy. With his look of confusment ment only one thing....1st year. There was something around him, a feeling only too familar to me, pain. It was etched in his eyes and deep in his face. I tired to look away, nothing to prove by staring.

Runarai averted his eyes immediately. Her expression, her eyes, it all had a feeling about her, something that he didn't want to feel. He wasn't sure if it was fear or hurt, but it seemed a bit more like a mix of both. Still, he hoped that, to all extent, she didn't approach him. He never mixed well with humans, and found it difficult to talk to them. His owl began to hoot again, and he made a shush towards it. All he wanted her to do was show him how to get to the Platform. So, to seem inconspicuous, he began to move slowly again.

I sighed fingering the gold pocket watch in my jacket pocket. I could sense him still there, why now. I pretended to look over my shoulder, yep still there. Oh hell, why not I muttered to myself as I turned around. "Hey"

He bit his tongue, slightly, knowing that it was him she had called out to. He turned around slowly, pulling the trolley along behind him leaning it against one of the pillars. He swallowed hard, supposing there was no other way he was going to figure this out. "Hey... Do you... know how to get to the Platform?" He waited for her response, looking her in the eyes.

"Oh" I said slightly blushing. I shouldn't work my self up I thought shaking my head. "I suppose you mean the Express? Welll, all you must do is go through there" I said pointing to the wall between 9 and 10. "It only seems scary at first, trust me. But you'll live" I said with a small smile.

At first, he gave a look as if he wasn't sure if he had correctly heard her. However, upon assurance from her second statement, he shrugged. He pulled his trolley around, looking dead on at the pillar. It looked like solid brick, all the way through, but she was a much more experienced person. However, where she had smiled, he had not returned it. So, he set off, figuring getting a running start at it might at least crack the brick if it didn't go through as he intended. Luckily, he had pushed through with enough force to get through the barrier, and entered Platform 9 3/4.

I looked on as the boy ran through the wall. "Such innocence" I muttered as I gripped the handle of thr trolly. People fazed by me like shadows. I closed my eyes hearing the beat of my heart. I opened to see the wall waiting for. I braced myself as I jumped off the balls of my feet and ran through

Alison stood firmly at the large, brick column. "Just like every year..." She said low, beneath her breath. The sound of constant chatter polluted her ears. She took a deep inhale, before striding greatly with her cart crammed with luggage, and breaking past the barrier.
